Day 1: Arrival in Colombo & Transfer to Sigiriya

Morning:

Arrive in Colombo.

Drive to Sigiriya (about 4-5 hours).

Afternoon:

Visit Dambulla Cave Temple (UNESCO World Heritage Site).

Check-in to your hotel and relax.

Evening:

Enjoy the serene surroundings and prepare for the next day.

 

Day 2: Sigiriya & Polonnaruwa

Morning:

Climb the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress early to avoid crowds and heat.

Afternoon:

Drive to Polonnaruwa (1.5 hours).

Explore the ancient ruins of this UNESCO site, including Gal Vihara and Parakrama Samudraya.

Evening:

Return to Sigiriya and relax.

 

Day 3: Sigiriya – Kandy

Morning:

En route to Kandy (about 3 hours), stop at a spice garden in Matale.

Afternoon:

Visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic (Sri Lanka’s most sacred Buddhist site).

Explore Kandy Lake and the Kandy Market.

Evening:

Watch a traditional Kandyan cultural dance performance.

Stay overnight in Kandy.

 

Day 4: Kandy – Nuwara Eliya

Morning:

Take a scenic train ride from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya (the “Little England” of Sri Lanka).

Afternoon:

Visit a tea plantation and factory to learn about Sri Lanka’s tea heritage.

Explore Victoria Park and stroll through the colonial-era town.

Evening:

Relax by Gregory Lake.

Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.

 

Day 5: Nuwara Eliya – Ella

Morning:

Drive to Ella (about 2 hours), stopping at Ravana Falls along the way.

Visit Nine Arches Bridge and enjoy the lush green scenery.

Afternoon:

Hike to Little Adam’s Peak for stunning views.

Evening:

Relax in Ella town with its laid-back vibe and cozy cafes.

 

Day 6: Ella – Galle – Colombo

Morning:

Drive to Galle (about 4 hours).

Explore Galle Fort (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and its colonial architecture.

Afternoon:

Head back to Colombo (about 2 hours).

Visit Galle Face Green and shop at Pettah Market or Dutch Hospital Shopping Precinct.

Evening:

Enjoy a farewell dinner in Colombo.

 

Day 7: Departure

Morning:

Transfer to the airport for your departure.
